Hancdiv exists because most professional education optimises for completion rates rather than employment outcomes — and we decided to build something different.
What Hancdiv is and who it serves
Hancdiv is a registered professional education provider based in Sydney, Australia, operating from our York Street campus in the CBD with blended delivery options available nationally and to selected international markets. We serve three groups: recent university graduates who hold a qualification but feel underprepared for the professional workplace; mid-career professionals who need a specific, documentable skill set to move into a new role or sector; and employers who send team members for structured upskilling in defined competency areas. Since opening in 2018, Hancdiv has enrolled over 1,400 students across its four program streams and maintains an active alumni network of more than 900 graduates spread across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and beyond. Every program we offer has been developed in consultation with employer advisory panels — companies who have agreed to review graduate work, provide live briefs, and in many cases interview program completers for open roles.
How the team works and what drives curriculum decisions
Hancdiv's academic team comprises nine full-time staff and a rotating faculty of fourteen practitioners drawn from active industry roles. Faculty are recruited specifically because they are currently working in the discipline they teach: a content strategist who manages editorial operations at a national publication, a data analyst embedded in a large logistics firm, a strategy consultant who advises ASX-listed companies. This model means curriculum stays current without requiring a large internal research budget. The academic director reviews each program annually against employer feedback, graduate survey data, and labour market reporting published by the Australian Government. Where a skill set has become less relevant — or a new competency has become critical — the curriculum is updated before the next cohort begins. We are transparent about the limits of this model: Hancdiv programs are not equivalent to university degrees and do not carry the same research depth. They are practical qualifications for people with clear professional targets, not exploratory credentials for students who are still deciding what they want to do.
