Program · 6 months · Advanced certificate
A 6-month advanced certificate for experienced professionals at the team-lead and manager level who need structured frameworks to match their hard-won instincts.

The Leadership & Strategy program is the most advanced qualification in the Hancdiv portfolio. Over six months, participants work through strategic planning methodologies, financial literacy for non-finance managers, organisational decision-making frameworks, and team performance management. Each module is taught using case studies drawn from Australian organisations — participants consistently report that the local industry context makes concepts significantly more applicable than content drawn from US or UK business school materials. The program requires a minimum of three years of management experience at the time of application: this is not a theoretical introduction to leadership but a rigorous framework for people who already lead.

Read and interrogate P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow reports with enough confidence to contribute to budget conversations. No accounting background required — only a willingness to engage with numbers.
Design performance frameworks, conduct structured feedback conversations, and handle underperformance situations with a documented, defensible process. Role-play assessments simulate real management conversations.
Yes. The program's peer-learning model depends on every cohort member bringing substantive management experience. Applicants who do not meet the threshold will be referred to the Professional Practice stream and encouraged to reapply once they have the required experience.
Yes, and this is strongly encouraged. The strategy project module is specifically designed to be applied to a live organisational challenge. Participants who work on real problems consistently produce stronger assessments and report significantly higher post-program impact.
Corporate group enrolments are available for teams of four or more. Group participants can be placed in the same cohort on request, and Hancdiv's faculty will incorporate organisation-specific context where it adds value. Contact us for group pricing and scheduling details.
“I had been managing teams for five years and doing it reasonably well, but I could not articulate why certain decisions worked. The strategic planning module gave me a language and a framework. Six months after finishing, I moved into a general manager role — a step I had been hesitant to take before the program.”
