SQL querying
Write and optimise SELECT queries, joins, aggregations, and window functions against real business databases. Assessment is practical: students complete timed query challenges on live environments.
Program · 12 weeks · Blended
A 12-week hands-on program in data analysis, SQL, Python fundamentals, and visualisation using Power BI and Tableau — no prior coding experience required.

The Technology & Data program is built for professionals in operations, marketing, finance, and strategy roles who need to work confidently with data but have no formal technical training. The curriculum moves from foundational data literacy — understanding data types, sources, and common pitfalls — through to applied SQL querying, Python scripting for data cleaning and analysis, and dashboard creation in Power BI and Tableau. Two live lab sessions per week run in groups of nine, so every participant gets direct time with the instructor on real datasets. The capstone project requires students to take a messy real-world dataset provided by a partner organisation, clean it, analyse it, and present findings to a panel.
Write and optimise SELECT queries, joins, aggregations, and window functions against real business databases. Assessment is practical: students complete timed query challenges on live environments.
Use pandas and matplotlib to clean, transform, and visualise tabular data. Students submit a documented Jupyter notebook as part of the capstone, demonstrating reproducible analysis from raw data to insight.
Design and publish interactive dashboards that communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders. Both tools are covered; students choose one for their capstone deliverable and justify the choice in a written rationale.
The Technology & Data program produces competent data analysts — professionals who can independently handle typical business analytics tasks. It is not a software engineering bootcamp, does not cover machine learning in depth, and will not prepare graduates for data science roles requiring postgraduate statistical training. If your goal is a machine-learning engineering or data science research role, Hancdiv recommends completing this program as a practical foundation before pursuing further postgraduate study. Graduates consistently secure roles in business analysis, reporting, and data operations within six months of completing the program.
“I was a project manager with no data skills. My team kept handing me reports I couldn't interrogate. After 12 weeks at Hancdiv I could write the SQL myself, build the dashboard, and present the numbers with confidence. I was promoted within three months of completing the course.”
